Ice Cream

Figurative speech is so fun and mind intriguing.
So ,this is mine:

Life is like an ice cream.

We must enjoy this desert when it is in its good form.
Just like we should enjoy every moment in our lives
when we still have the chance.
Do not wait till the ice cream melts ,by the time we look back,
there are only regrets.

Thats why we should always live in the present .

Lets have ice cream everyday and embrace the sweetness of life!!!!!.

  1. Chan,

Your analogy defines life as very short then, and full of regrets.
Because the ice-cream will melt no matter what, unless you live life at the highest possible speed.
But that would mean not savouring life.
Even if you choose to savour it and embrace the sweetness, you would still find that the surroundings have melted inevitably.
It's like the tongue stings the ice-cream..
Some might even wait for the ice-cream to melt, and embrace the bitterness, sadness and regrets of life instead.

  2. Dear dear Sarah, Haha it seems like ice cream isn't really the best choice after all.( I thought i made a superb figurative speech haha)

But don't you think life cannot be measured by its length but should be by its width.
Life might be short but it might be exceptionally meaningful as well.
Thats why the present is crucial, cos
i might not live till tomorrow.

I do agree that the surroundings will eventually melt away, which is ,at most of the time,a truth.
Its very pathetic but somehow such melting
(or maybe i should say such "Impermanence" )
    is needed in life.
This is because it tells us how lucky we are to have what we have now and also trains us to be more mature and stronger from within.

Undeniably, life will have some regrets.
What i think is we should minimize those regrets and transform them as an
    enhancement in life.

    Perhaps,those who embraces bitterness,
sadness and regrets will only walk
    towards destruction??
